We are a Polokwane soccer academy that is affiliated with the Polokwane Development
League, harnessing and training young potential for a future in the wonderful game of soccer. We started the soccer club in 2015 with the goal of giving young people an extra curricular activity which could mould them to be active in their spare time and to be more productive and learn sustaining values in their developing years. We are based in Polokwane, Mitchell House Preparatory School, and hold our practices and some games there.
At Shooting Stars Soccer Academy, our mission is to coach, develop, and guide young players through the game of soccer. We believe in more than technical football training alone. We also promote character building, discipline, life skills, teamwork, and positive reinforcement so that our players can grow both on and off the field, including in their school and home lives.
Our vision is to be recognised as a leading youth soccer academy in Polokwane with a strong player development structure and a professional environment for young footballers. We aim to help talented players build a pathway toward higher levels of the game, including competitive football opportunities in South Africa and beyond.
At Shooting Stars Soccer Academy, we try to be more than just a soccer club academy. We have core values and beliefs that we as directors, team members and coaches influence conscientiously everyday through what we deliver as a soccer club to the kids, business partners and the community as a whole. These are our core values;
Shooting Stars Soccer Academy is affiliated with the Polokwane Development League, an important platform for youth sports development in Polokwane. This affiliation supports our goal of helping young players grow through structured competition, coaching, and long-term football development.
Shooting Stars Soccer Academy is also affiliated with SAFA and the Polokwane Local Football Association (POLFA). These affiliations reflect our commitment to organised football development, recognised standards, and a structured pathway for young players in South Africa. Being part of this football framework helps us support player growth, coaching quality, and long-term development opportunities.
